India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) invites project proposals for its Arts Education programme, from government school teachers in Karnataka. This project falls under the Kali-Kalisu initiative of IFA, which aims to forge collaborations between teachers, the school community and local artists.
The purpose of these grants is to encourage teachers to look beyond teaching their individual subjects and explore the many possibilities in arts education, to create opportunities for teachers and artists across disciplines to become joint stakeholders in the school community, and to enrich curriculum and classroom teaching through artistic interventions. We hope the grants will set in motion processes that will continue beyond the grant period.
