for a showcase of six artistic interventions across Bangalore

Project 560 is back! This year, we've partnered with Citi India to bring the found spaces festival back to Bangalore in December. Project 560, 2015 seeks to engage with public, found spaces in our very own Bangalore, to explore the stories, people and relationships that awaken our memories of Namma Ooru.

Come and engage with Bangalore and her many diverse spaces as our grantees create installations and performances from Girinagar, Gandhi Bazar and Chikpet, to Kasturba Road, Vidhana Veedhi and Malleshwaram. The festival is the culmination of months of hard work of our grantees, and attempts to connect with the many cherished memories of the city as it continues its relentless transition.

Do watch this montage to catch a glimpse of some of the exciting spaces and stories our grantees have to tell!

The festival kicks off on December 10th, with presentations and panel discussions at the Rangoli Metro Art Center on M G Road. Find out what our grantees have to say about their projects, listen to experts from the field including Tushar Joag and Pa Madhavan, who will provide glimpses into their practice. Come, and join the conversation on public spaces and the arts.

On December 4th, 11th, 12th and 13th, our grantees are staging artistic interventions all across Bangalore - at a market place, under a flyover, in a museum, at a coffee house, at the former house of a renowned thespian and in a landmark restaurant! Do follow us on facebook and Twitter to know more!

We hope that this is an occasion to meet, connect and build relationships with a city that has always nurtured arts and culture in all its myriad forms.

Furthermore, our very FIRST EVENT as part of the Project 560, 2015 festival will be on this Friday, December 04, 2015 at Vidyarthi Bhavan!
