Mallika Prasad and Ram Ganesh Kamatham

Ram Ganesh Kamatham, along with his collaborator Mallika Prasad, will explore a climbing wall at the Phoenix MarketCity shopping mall in Mahadevapura. By juxtaposing the wall and the mall, the artists seek to engage the conflict between the active, physical exertion on the wall with the passive, leisure of the mall. It is also a comment on consumerism and its impact on lives and the way we engage with the world.  Additionally, as actors and avid mountaineers, Ram and Mallika are both fascinated by aerial perspectives and movements. Collaborating with sound and visual artists, they will research into and experiment with aerial movement, visual design, climbing techniques and urban art developing a performance on the vertical surface of the wall.
