Are you interested in creating a series of cultural explorations in Bangalore?
Would you like to know more about the project criteria, application process, evaluations and so on?
Then this IFA Open House is just for you!
Join us for an IFA Open House: Curated Artistic Engagements in Bangalore, under the Project 560 programme of IFA. This event is open to all artists, scholars and curators who wish to apply under the Curated Artistic Engagements category of the Project 560 programme, seeking to create cultural engagements that reflect upon the city or offer multiple imaginations of it. These activities would offer new perspectives, foreground unheard voices, and encourage people to reimagine the city through the arts and culture. John Xaviers, the Programme Office who looks after this category, will introduce the session, followed by MD Pallavi, Suresh Jayaram and Chanakya Vyas speaking about the various project possibilities. They will also discuss the application process and answer questions you may have.
Suresh Jayaram and Chanakya Vyas have previously led projects under the Curated Artistic Engagements category of Project 560 in recent years and MD Pallavi has been involved as an expert evaluator for Project 560.
Suresh Jayaram is a Bangalore-based artist, art historian, arts administrator, and curator.
Chanakya Vyas is a Bangalore-based theater-maker and educator.
MD Pallavi is a Bangalore-based singer, musician and actor.
Come interact with us and learn about the category, application process and more!

About the Curated Artistic Engagements category of Project 560:
Through this category of Project 560, IFA implements year-long cultural events throughout Bangalore, with artists and curators as Project Coordinators. These cultural events engage with the multiple narratives that shape the city through bringing its past, present and future in conversation with each other. Engagements could include storytelling, music, performances, installations, exhibitions, gaming, lecture-performances, public discussions and other such activities. For more details, click here
Applications under this category are accepted throughout the year. Please write with your queries and draft proposals with the subject line: Application for Project 560: Curated Artistic Engagements, to John Xaviers at john@indiaifa.org
The Project 560 programme in FY 2022-23 is supported by Sony Pictures Entertainment Fund and BNP Paribas India.
The IFA Open House is a series of online and offline events where IFA converse with artists, scholars and practitioners about our different programme mandates. Informative and interactive in nature, it is organised to share more information about our programmes; and staff answer queries on project criteria, application process, evaluations, decision making, and so on through these sessions.
