The name Mir Mukhtiyar Ali spells magic in the field of Sufi music! The earthy directness of his Rajastani folk music merged with the complex octaves of classical traditions is a promise to an unforgettable experience.

Mukhtiyar Ali belongs to the semi-nomadic community of Mirasis, who have been the traditional carriers of the oral tradition of Sufiana Qalam in India. He enthralls audiences, with his unique blend of Rajasthani folk, Kabir and Sufi music.

Mukhtiyar Ali sings of the spirit and the worldly, of truth and of love, of passion and of reason in his native Marwari, as well as in Hindi and Punjabi.

The versatile Mukhtiyar Ali has collaborated with many Indian and foreign musicians, as well as, film directors and lent his voice for several productions such as Had Anhad, Finding Fanny, Bombay Summer and Tashan.
