India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) Seeks a Librarian
Do you often lose yourself among the many worlds of books?
Help us organise our modest collection of books here at IFA and make it more accessible.
India Foundation for the Arts is an independent, national, not-for-profit, professionally managed grant-making organisation based in Bangalore that supports research, practice and education in the arts across the country. In this, our 20th year of grant making, we are looking at organising our modest library.
Deadline: March 17, 2016
Our current collection is modest, with about 3000 plus books, periodicals, journals and magazines on the different arts, arts management, theory, reports and more! It contains material in multiple languages, and has never been categorised or organised before.
The librarian will be expected to organise, categorise, label, and create a system to aid location, and access to the collection, within 2 months.
Previous experience in cataloguing or working in a library will be appreciated.
Rs 20,000 for the duration
Applicants should include a covering letter and a resume detailing previous experience.
