Thursday, July 14, 2022 | 06:00 PM IST | Zoom and Facebook Live

Past and Future Maps are imaginary ‘maps’, our engagements with a city, which evolve continuously as we excavate the unseen cityscape, and envisage roadmaps of the future. This session looks at diverse and intersecting maps, bearing the marks of different time periods, and the invisible footprints of people urging us to reimagine newer histories of the Centre, South, West, and East of Kolkata, about forgotten and fading places, lived neighbourhoods, personal and collective (re)mapping.

Join us for an evening of ‘adda’ between Madhuja Mukherjee, Tapati Guha Thakurta, Mallika Das Sutar, Pradip Das, Saheli Das and Debalina Majumder, as part of Madhuja's project Route no. 033.

Route no. 033 is an ongoing creative project with photographs, images, videos, sounds, voices and noise, which will culminate in an installation. The installation will be preceded by a series of ‘addas’, of which Past and Future Maps is the second.

This session is open and can be accessed on Zoom: https://bit.ly/3AqcYQs, passcode: 579142

The discussion will also be streamed live on Victoria Memorial Hall’s Facebook page.
