Past Forward: Celebrating Critical Practices
India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) is delighted to invite you to Past Forward: Celebrating Critical Practices, an arts festival brought to you by IFA in collaboration with Bangalore International Centre over three days on October 30, 31 and November 01, 2019 at Bangalore International Centre, Bangalore. This festival brings together 40 diverse artistic expressions through panel discussions, performances, film screenings, workshops and exhibitions.
As we count down, take a sneak peek of what is to come at Past Forward: Celebrating Critical Practices under its six themes:
At Interrogating Pasts, experience the multiple conversations artists have with the pasts to cherish, challenge and re-interpret it
Find new possibilities in the art world when there is active dialogue between diverse art forms to influence and nurture each other at Confluence of Forms
Learn about art projects that take inspiration from community knowledge systems and question community identity/ies at Engaging Communities
Discover how artists produce critical art that seek larger truths for our lived experiences at Making Meanings of Myths
At Thinking Audiences, understand how audiences shape art making and encourage artists to chart new paths
At Imagining Futures, experience diverse artistic visions of society’s future imbued with fear, anxiety and hope
Stay tuned for the big reveal of events planned under each of these six themes at Past Forward: Celebrating Critical Practices!
