As the call for physical distancing continues, we, at IFA, are discovering new ways of engaging with technology and online platforms to share the work of our grantees. Bringing to you a virtual series of conversations, film screenings, and performances titled Throwback Thursdays with IFA, where everyone is welcome.

On Thursday, October 22, 2020, join us for a conversation with Anaheeta Pinto, Monisha Suresh and Anna Alexander, members of the Richards Town Residents Association (RTRA); and artist Aditya Fernandes on artistic explorations in Richards Town neighbourhood. The speakers will share their experiences of bringing together children of the Pourakarmikas and children of the residents in the locality, through an artistic intervention that explored their neighbourhood. The session will be moderated by Menaka Rodriguez, Head of Resource Mobilisation and Outreach, IFA.

The discussion will also be streamed live on our facebook page - no prior registration required to join the live streaming.

Anaheeta Pinto received a grant from IFA for a Neighbourhood Engagement, under the Project 560 programme, made possible with support from Citi India.

Over the course of the project, Anaheeta and RTRA organised walks led by artist Aditya Fernandes and a local design firm where the children made sketches of the environs surrounding Richards Park and explored their connections to the neighbourhood. These sketches by the children later made it to a dilapidated railway wall in the locality, bringing it alive through their creativity and imagination. We invite you to learn more about this project in our session!
