Come Celebrate Hindi and Urdu Poetry at Shabdon ke Ujale | November 19-20, 2022 | Bangalore International Centre

Singhal Iyer Family Foundation (SIFF) and India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) invite you to two poetry filled days at Shabdon ke Ujale, at Bangalore International Centre (BIC). The festival aims to create space for poetry in the city, bringing poets from across India and delving deeper into their world—of words, rhythms, imagery, and imaginations.

Day 1: Kavita ki Shaam | November 19, 2022 | 06.30 PM to 08:00 PM

Join us for an evening woven together by two Sutradhars, Ajai Kumar Singh and Ashok Pande, where the four poets Ajanta, Devi Prasad, Khaleel, and Sanjay read some of their works, talk about what poetry means to them, how it lights up dark times, and its impact on our lives as individuals and communities.

Day 2: Kavi se Guftagu | November 20, 2022 | 11:00 AM to 04:30 PM

In four intimate sessions each with the two Sutradhars, the poets throw light on the trajectory of their creative lives, and revelations in their works, processes, influences, preoccupations, and aspirations.
