Artistic Intervention: N Mangala | December 04, 2015 | Bangalore
We are ready for the first event of the Project 560, 2015 Festival! Hope you are, too!
The smell of filter coffee and the sound of sizzling fresh ghee melting into crisp dosas, form the perfect backdrop to explore Bangalore's food history at Vidyarthi Bhavan tomorrow, December 04, 2015, for Project 560 grantee N Mangala's event "Ghamaghamaabhavana".
Vidyarthi Bhavan, established in 1943 is one of Bangalore's oldest restaurants. A new-fangled enterprise once upon a time;it brought food into the public space, eventually, becoming a hub for writers, theatre artistes and art lovers. The space mirrors the artsand food culture of the citywith news exchanged, and impromptu salons on the arts, convened over the sharing of food.
