Monkey and the Mobile, directed by Rajiv Krishnan, uses the mobile phone and technology as a theme to gauge their impact on our lives, through stories - some real, some imagined. Through unusual and everyday characters like Selfie-Gopal, Etroverts, a family of Emoji's, and animals with identity crises, larger themes like identity, control and memory are explored. Conceived during a 4 week long collaboration between individuals from the fields of theatre, film and music, the play uses a combination of the actor, image and music, with a focus on story telling that is simple and engaging.

The cast includes Anandsami, Anitha Santhanam, Darshana Rajendran, Paul Mathew, Rency Philip, Rijul Ray, Vasanth Selvam and Vinod Ravindran, who are supported backstage by Anushka Meenakshi, Iswar Srikumar, Manoj Jahson, Niren Saldanha and Sudharshan Krishna.

Perch is a theatre group based in Chennai. The idea of Perch emerged in 2006 when it organised a fortnight long festival called 'Angloscapes' that focused on the Anglo-Indian community, which included a play, food festival, film screenings, photo exhibition and a music concert. Perch's plays include … And Sunshine Follows The Rain, Sangathi Arinhya! (have you heard!), Moonshine and Skytoffee, Miss Meena, Kira Kozhambu, Jujubee, Vyabaramayanam, How to Skin a Giraffe, and Cheruvannur Diaries – Typewriter Tales, most of which have been staged widely both at festivals and other venues.
