This will be followed by a performance of Muktidham at 06:30 PM at the same venue, as part of efforts to share our work widely.

Muktidham, an Indian Ensemble production, is written and directed by theatre practitioner Abhishek Majumdar. The play is based on the conflict between Buddhism and Hinduism in the eighth century, a time when Buddhism was at its peak and the Buddhist Pala kings were ruling what are now, east and large parts of north India. Set in a Matha in a fictional Hindu temple town called Beerpur surrounded by Buddhists, its head 'Nath Nand' is about to retire to 'Muktidham'—to die and achieve salvation.
