Past Forward: The Pleasure, Purpose and Practice of Arts Research
October 25, 26, 27, 2024 at the Bangalore International Centre (BIC)
A three-day festival celebrating 70 diverse projects in Arts Research through
Panel Discussions | Film Screenings | Workshops | Talks | Performances | Exhibition
We have always believed that the arts help us to register and respond to paradigmatic shifts while also holding out hope and desire for what is to come. New ways of thinking and knowledge production allow us to get a more complex picture of the human predicament—Arts Research, in particular, has the potential to shift the values associated with these ways of thinking, and forge a relationship with time by questioning the past and present, and probing into unforeseen futures.
Join us in October to meet artists, curators, researchers and creative practitioners from across the country. Experience, explore and engage in conversations, book previews, workshops, exhibitions, films, panel discussions and more! Come celebrate the pleasure of researching, the practices of knowledge building, and the purposes of these practices in engaging with diverse cultural contexts.
Save the date and stay tuned for more details!
The festival is made possible with support from BNP Paribas India Foundation.
