India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) seeks to implement arts projects facilitated by teachers from government school in Karnataka, for their schools. This is part of the Kali-Kalisu initiative that aims to forge collaborations between teachers, local artists and the school community.

The purpose of these projects is to encourage teachers to look beyond their subject teaching and explore the possibilities in arts education, create opportunities for teachers and artists across disciplines to become joint stakeholders in the school community and enrich curriculum and classroom teaching through artistic interventions. We hope that these projects will set in motion processes that will continue beyond the project period.
