India Foundation for the Arts (IFA) seeks a Part-time Librarian.
IFA is an independent, nationwide, not-for-profit organisation that makes grants and implements projects across research, practice and education in the arts and culture across India. Set up as a Public Charitable Trust in 1993, IFA started making grants in 1995, and has continued its work over 30 years, supporting and implementing over 900 projects in arts and culture across the country.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our current collection is modest, with about 1200+ books, periodicals, reports, journals and magazines across the arts. It contains material in multiple languages. We are seeking to reorganise the library and create a better catalogue and accession system. The librarian will be expected to organise, categorise, label, and create a system to aid location and access to the collection, within one month.
SKILLS:
Previous experience in cataloguing or working in a library is required.
LOCATION:
In-person and in Bangalore
REMUNERATION:
Rs 30,000 for the duration
TERM:
One month, five days a week
