Deepak DH
Having been actively involved in the education field for a decade since 2016, Deepak DH holds an MA English degree from St. Joseph's College (Autonomous), Bangalore, along with a B. Ed. in Special Education from Indira Gandhi Institute of Higher Education, Coimbatore. Prior to joining IFA, Deepak has taught English, Music and Theatre in different schools across ICSE/ISC, CBSE, PUC, Cambridge and Steiner-Waldorf curricula and has worked with neurodivergent children.
Deepak has written, directed and produced a short play in 2015 as part of the National Bioethics Conference held at St. John's College Auditorium in 2015, was longlisted for the TOTO Awards for Creative Writing in English in 2017, and has written children's stories and songs which are featured in Kutuki's YouTube channel. In 2025, Deepak was one of the six teachers selected for a science playwriting workshop hosted by the Archives at NCBS, Bangalore.
Though his first Bachelor's degree was BBM, Deepak knew that he wouldn't be able to relate to the corporate world and continued his creative journeys as a thespian, musician, chorister and artist, influenced by writers like Franz Kafka, Roald Dahl and Mahasweta Devi. Having served as the Creative Director for Paradox Studios from 2019 to 2026, he oversaw public speaking and theatre workshops and credit courses for children across age groups and has also written, directed and produced a short animatic on his first job experience, taking illustration and animation students as paid interns.
Deepak enjoys cooking, making music, the consumption and discussion of video games, books, movies, cartoons and TV shows while constantly contemplating the idea of getting back to creative writing.
